The crossroads to the Sapphire Gemfields are half way between Rockhampton and Longreach, and just 42 km west of Emerald on the Capricorn highway.  Turn right at the Rubyvale/Sapphire turnoff and travel another 10 km to Sapphire.  Follow sign to the top of the hill, then turn left into Sunrise Road directly opposite the Post Office.

Every form of accommodation is available on the Sapphire fields, ranging from 4 stars to camping on the diggings.  There are two Caravan Parks in the Sapphire township, The Blue Gem Caravan Park and Sapphire Caravan Park.  Both provide Caravan, camping and Cabin Accommodation.

Conveniently located nearby you will find the Post Office, general stores and newsagent, fuel, restaurant, take-away food and Medical Centre.
